I stopped buying books about 2 years ago. Not because there's no good ones about... ...but because I got to the point where I didn't have time to read the ones I'd already bought. (Have you ever done that?) But, there was one book that covered an area I felt was going to be very valuable in the coming years. It's called 'NO GRID Survival Projects. How to Produce Everything You Need on Your Property.' It's a book designed to help you live in a world without electricity... ...during long blackouts, and after an EMP. (An EMP is an Electro Magnetic Pulse.) It also helps to go some way to make you independent and self-sufficient on your own property. In an ideal world you wouldn't want to be dependent on the supermarkets, the power companies, or the Government. And when you think about it, 99.99% of us all totally dependant on 'them'. How many people do you know grow their own food? Have their own water supply? Could last more than 3 days without electricity? Could heat their home? How many people would know what to do... ...if they couldn't switch on Netflix of a night, order their dinner from JustEat, or had no hot water for a shower? And to be clear, this isn't me saying I've become self-sufficient... but I do think this book could be more valuable to you (especially if you have a family to take care of)... ...than books like 'Atomic Habits' or anything else you can think of that's been a best seller. But, it was something written on the back of the book... ...that reminded me of what a guy said who I helped a few years ago. The Survival book states... 'There is an extraordinary feeling of peace and accomplishment when you produce everything you need on your property.' And I'd heard something like this before. I'd helped a guy turn his life around... ...or change Trajectory, to use a term I like. After he had improved his career, work - life balance, love life, health, financial situation, and his stress level, he said... 'I have a new sense of calm, and a lot of it comes from knowing I've done all this work myself to improve things'. And work he had. Made some big decisions. Stopped doing things bringing him down. Started doing things that really mattered. Faced some home truths. Had some hard conversations. Stopped making excuses. Took consistent action. And saw results come over time. He felt better, looked better, thought better, and performed better. Everyone around him took note and said... ...'Who the fuck is this guy'? But back to his words... You could say that Calm = Inner Peace You could say that Doing the Work Yourself = Accomplishment And this is something I hammer home when I talk on podcasts or in our private membership. I can give you proven tools, and support, and guidance. The guys in the membership can offer experience and decades of business or life lessons. But you have to put in SOME work yourself to find that inner calm amongst the chaos of life. You have to put in EFFORT to have that priceless feeling of accomplishment... ...amongst a world that wants you to sit like a pathetic couch potato and have everything handed to you. As I write this the guys in The Spark and The Network are filling in their Plans and Focus for the week ahead. Why? Because they want to start the week with a clear head... ...and understand exactly what to work on thats important, not just feels good. Hope this has been helpful. And if you are looking to improve the important areas of life, you can either work with me 1-2-1, or join our membership. Catch you Wednesday Anthony Whole Man Academy |

Hmmm... Most of the advice aimed at 'ambitious' men says roughly the same thing. Keep pushing for the result you want. Never stop pursuing you dreams. Rest when you’re dead, Mofo. And most of the time, I agree with it to some extent. I mean... I love it when a guy has an attitude where he makes things happen, he is prepared to work hard, to put in the hours to create the opportunities he needs. There's loads of those guys in the membership, either Spark, Network, or Nexus. So I'm all for...
Be honest. Do you love what you do for your career? In fact.. for some...another question would be... ...do you even LIKE it? Now I reckon... ...about 5% will say they love what they do. ...maybe 30% will 'like' what they do ...and the rest are in the lower categories of 'it's ok'. or ' I can't stand it'. I've been in all those categories before, so wherever you stand I'm with you. But on Friday I saw a great example of something we should all be impressed with. I was at the Horse of the year...
I have a deep rooted memory of being out in Turkey on holiday as a kid. My family at some old town market haggling with men over a handbag or wallet or something. They give you some nice Turkish tea and you settle in for a short bartering session that seemed to last for hours. All for the sake of some leather and a few quid discount. For some reason I just hated it. On reflection it's because, as a kid you have zero interest in pissing about in some little market that smells like a camels....
