He earns over £1 million a year, but...

Last week I had a conversation with a guy who's...

...doing very well for himself.

Better than that... is this:

He's living the life he's excited to live AND gets very well paid for it.

For context:

He earns over £1 million a year.

He doesn't have much in the way of overheads (so no factory or staff or company vehicles etc).

Just a laptop.

He can travel, work when he wants, money comes in regardless of what he does each week...and to be clear he still works hard.

Not saying that combination is easy to achieve at all.. but it's possible... as he is a good example of that.

But when I chatted to him I instantly liked his energy.

And whilst being very financially secure can help you be positive and confident...

...cos you ain't got any money worries..

...the good energy, I sense, has always been there no matter the bank balance.

And I can tell you... it's infectious.

NOTE: I've also met some right miserable fuckers who have a lot of money in the bank...

...and I'd rather 'shit in my hands and clap' than spend more than about 5 mins with them.

Back to this chap - He told me he was in a career in his 20s that wasn't working out even though he enjoyed it.

And then.. a tragic incident happened to someone close to him.

I know what it is but don't really want to write about it here.

It made him take stock of his life, and go all in on this big opportunity he had.

It wasn't easy, but with hard work, late nights, networking, conversations...

...and improving his own skills, the results (and therefore the money) started coming in.

I told him about the Whole Man Academy and he was very supportive.

He knows how helpful it is to have a solid team or group or brotherhood beside you.

Thats a key part of how he built his career and wealth, selecting the right people around you.

Ambitious, good energy, great attitude, strong work ethic.

It was a valuable reminder.

You can use tough or tragic things in life...

...as a catalyst or catapult to change your life, do something new, make a decision, or start afresh.

P.S On Wednesday I'll share news of some Q4 events.

Hmmm... Most of the advice aimed at 'ambitious' men says roughly the same thing. Keep pushing for the result you want. Never stop pursuing you dreams. Rest when you’re dead, Mofo. And most of the time, I agree with it to some extent. I mean... I love it when a guy has an attitude where he makes things happen, he is prepared to work hard, to put in the hours to create the opportunities he needs. There's loads of those guys in the membership, either Spark, Network, or Nexus. So I'm all for...

Be honest. Do you love what you do for your career? In fact.. for some...another question would be... ...do you even LIKE it? Now I reckon... ...about 5% will say they love what they do. ...maybe 30% will 'like' what they do ...and the rest are in the lower categories of 'it's ok'. or ' I can't stand it'. I've been in all those categories before, so wherever you stand I'm with you. But on Friday I saw a great example of something we should all be impressed with. I was at the Horse of the year...

I have a deep rooted memory of being out in Turkey on holiday as a kid. My family at some old town market haggling with men over a handbag or wallet or something. They give you some nice Turkish tea and you settle in for a short bartering session that seemed to last for hours. All for the sake of some leather and a few quid discount. For some reason I just hated it. On reflection it's because, as a kid you have zero interest in pissing about in some little market that smells like a camels....
