Bro took a risk. here's what happened...

I planned to write more about The Adventurer today as there's some great lessons in a story I have for you.

But whilst writing it I realised I had something else I wanted to share with you right now.

It might give you or some of the 500+ guys on this email list some ideas, hope, or motivation.

In short, it's a report from one of the guys in The Network, on his progress.

Now, let's call this guy 'George'.

He was coming to WMA events way back in 2019.

So he's been around me, my content, and the whole ethos of becoming a Whole Man for years.

He's a normal chap like the rest of us.

Got kids, got a partner, got various interests.

Wants to live a good life and do something he enjoys.

Anyway, about 5 years ago he changed career...

And this is a brave move and something many of us know can be hit or miss.

If I'm honest I don't think he did enough research on what that new career would entail.

It's not just about the job, it's also if it fits in to your lifestyle.

In short, he found the switch quite difficult to navigate.

He certainly gave it his all, but I don't think his heart was 100% in it anyway.

And why do I say that?

Because it didn't light him up.

Now I, not saying your job, career, or business needs to give you a massive hardon every morning when you wake up and think about it.

But at least be a BIT excited by it.

(This is a common reason so many men end up drifting, because what they do gets them down over the years).

Anyway, he did several things, and I'm going to list them here with a brief explanation but of course we could go deeper:

1) He took stock of his life and admitted the new career just wasn't working for him

2) He had the awareness to realise if he didn't make another change he would be stuck in The Gap of unfullfilment and monotony.

3) He had some honest conversations with those around him.

4) He went after a role in a business and a sector that really excited him.

5) He applied for a role and got the job (plus I think a pay rise).

6) He joined The Network to be around other men who have the right attitude and intentions.

And now he wakes up with a renewed sense of purpose going in work to spend the day doing something is interested in.

He recently he added to his recent wins by taking an Industry exam which helps him progress in the sector.

His results came through this week and (no surprise to us) but he scored very highly and passed with Distinction.

Add to that...

When you join The Network you get a full hours coaching and strategy session with me...

We discussed started a blog posting about the thing he is interested in, and loves writing about it.

That can and will help him stand out from others...

...and potentially create other opportunities for him, depending in his appetite for excitement and desire for publishing content.

So, to recap.

Now he wakes up looking forward to his day.

He earns more money.

He spends time working on what interests him.

And if I remember correctly he said...

...because he is happier and less stressed it's improved his relationship with some family members.

And he's a better dad (priceless).

He's also got a group of guys who are there to help him, encourage him, and celebrate with him.

That's a big fucking list of wins.

So this is me saying..

I could write about deep psychological frameworks and give you clever manifestations to recite.

But sometimes you need to see something in the cold light of day.

Action, Progress, Pushing through Fear, fucking off other people's opinions, and seeing Results

They all equal more success for George.

His Trajectory has changed and so has his life.

If anything comes up for you here, take a moment to think about it.

This is the kind of work we do in The Network.

I'll come back on Monday with the Adventurer info, because a lot of what I said above links to what you'll discover at the event.

Have a good weekend.

Hmmm... Most of the advice aimed at 'ambitious' men says roughly the same thing. Keep pushing for the result you want. Never stop pursuing you dreams. Rest when you’re dead, Mofo. And most of the time, I agree with it to some extent. I mean... I love it when a guy has an attitude where he makes things happen, he is prepared to work hard, to put in the hours to create the opportunities he needs. There's loads of those guys in the membership, either Spark, Network, or Nexus. So I'm all for...

Be honest. Do you love what you do for your career? In fact.. for some...another question would be... ...do you even LIKE it? Now I reckon... ...about 5% will say they love what they do. ...maybe 30% will 'like' what they do ...and the rest are in the lower categories of 'it's ok'. or ' I can't stand it'. I've been in all those categories before, so wherever you stand I'm with you. But on Friday I saw a great example of something we should all be impressed with. I was at the Horse of the year...

I have a deep rooted memory of being out in Turkey on holiday as a kid. My family at some old town market haggling with men over a handbag or wallet or something. They give you some nice Turkish tea and you settle in for a short bartering session that seemed to last for hours. All for the sake of some leather and a few quid discount. For some reason I just hated it. On reflection it's because, as a kid you have zero interest in pissing about in some little market that smells like a camels....
