Another conspiracy theory comes true?

Look at this picture below...

It's a quick snap from Thursday nights latest WMA dinner in the Cotswolds.

It was a smaller table than normal because several guys like Pete, Baz, Stuart, David, Ash, Mike, Andy, etc were away or working.

But in a way, a table of 9 instead of a table of 14-16 means it's a bit more personal.

You can dip in and out of all the conversations on the table.

And we had some belting discussion around a whole host of topics.

But I'll tell you what I saw in the in the group.

Courage.

And that came in various forms through the work and decisions the men have been undertaking.

For example:

One guy made a big decision a few years back...

...to go all in on an exciting investment opportunity abroad.

But, like a lot of these things...

...there was a shitload of hidden red tape, costs, issues, and challenges he could never have foreseen.

There's light at the end of the tunnel for him and the project...

...but it took a fuck load of courage to get it off the ground.

Another guy had tried hard to get involved in local council matters...

...to help the community...

...and had found it was a thankless task...

...because some people in positions of power don't want to really make changes, just stay on the gravy train.

He even got abused in the street and accused of things he hadn't done by misinformed locals.

In the end he bailed on that, but it had taken courage to get involved in the first place.

One more example was one of the guys in the group.

He shared interesting info on some of the most popular music tracks of our time having disturbing hidden messages in them...

...if you play them backwards.

To delve slightly deeper that means:

- Certain artists embedded reversed phrases.

- Labels experimented with subconscious influence.

- Themes are often linked to sex, death, control, rebellion.

And if you're looking for names...

Led Zeppelin and The Beatles are two that you will know.

But back to the dinner.

It takes courage to share stories like this, because... you risk ridicule in the wrong crowd.

The unthinking man will dismiss stuff as 'a conspiracy theory' having done absolutely fuck all personal research in to the subject or topic.

And that's a mistake.

A bit like years ago, if you had told people that members of the Royal family should have their hard drive checked (and seized).

(I'd add to that a lot of Hollywood actors, and plenty more high profile people.)

You'd have been laughed at by some,...

...and now, the truth is slowly going mainstream.

I'll write more about the hidden messages and subconscious patterns another time.

Because it links to the behaviour that defines our lives...

...but is quietly suggested to us in digital shadows.

To finish...

...the courage you need to make changes in your life is IN you.

But it isn’t always the big stuff like 'risking your life'.

It’s...

-- Saying what needs saying even when uncomfortable

-- Making the scary career move after decades of drifting

-- Getting out your comfort zone and coming to events for ambitious men

-- Choosing growth over comfort of mindlessly drifting or scrolling

That’s where men’s lives change, brother.

Hmmm... Most of the advice aimed at 'ambitious' men says roughly the same thing. Keep pushing for the result you want. Never stop pursuing you dreams. Rest when you’re dead, Mofo. And most of the time, I agree with it to some extent. I mean... I love it when a guy has an attitude where he makes things happen, he is prepared to work hard, to put in the hours to create the opportunities he needs. There's loads of those guys in the membership, either Spark, Network, or Nexus. So I'm all for...

Be honest. Do you love what you do for your career? In fact.. for some...another question would be... ...do you even LIKE it? Now I reckon... ...about 5% will say they love what they do. ...maybe 30% will 'like' what they do ...and the rest are in the lower categories of 'it's ok'. or ' I can't stand it'. I've been in all those categories before, so wherever you stand I'm with you. But on Friday I saw a great example of something we should all be impressed with. I was at the Horse of the year...

I have a deep rooted memory of being out in Turkey on holiday as a kid. My family at some old town market haggling with men over a handbag or wallet or something. They give you some nice Turkish tea and you settle in for a short bartering session that seemed to last for hours. All for the sake of some leather and a few quid discount. For some reason I just hated it. On reflection it's because, as a kid you have zero interest in pissing about in some little market that smells like a camels....
